Thanks for the invite. I'm new to brew clubs and blogging both will be fun. The info on the Brew Fest sounds great and I will look into it.

I won't be able to be at the next meeting on the 18th but look forward to next time and bringing a knock off of Mac and Jack (it bares little resemblance to the real stuff but it isn't bad as a first try) and some killer jalapeno beer I just bottled.

Has anyone tried the technique of soaking the hops in vodka for a week or two and then adding that mixture to the beer at bottling? I've been reading about it and is sounds like it is worth a shot (maybe two).

Seattle International Beer Fest

Hello all, This a to inform all you beer lovers out there (which I am assuming is anyone reading this)about the Seattle Beer Fest coming up July 3rd, 4th and 5th They are looking for volunteers to work approx 4 hr. shifts. In return for your time you will receive admission to the fest, a t-shirt, glass and 10 beer tokens. You can work more than one shift and get more cool stuff. I am working on Sat. the 4th from 11:45 to 3:30 and then staying to enjoy the fest until it closes at 10pm. If anyone out there is interested in going let me know and we can meet up and enjoy a few brews together.
