Thanks for the invite. I'm new to brew clubs and blogging both will be fun. The info on the Brew Fest sounds great and I will look into it.

I won't be able to be at the next meeting on the 18th but look forward to next time and bringing a knock off of Mac and Jack (it bares little resemblance to the real stuff but it isn't bad as a first try) and some killer jalapeno beer I just bottled.

Has anyone tried the technique of soaking the hops in vodka for a week or two and then adding that mixture to the beer at bottling? I've been reading about it and is sounds like it is worth a shot (maybe two).
