Minutes for November Meeting
The November meeting of the NOBG was hosted by Chris and Nicole. A few of our regulars were unable to attend, but we still shared some homebrew and tasted the 120 Minute IPA from Dogfish Head Brewery on the East coast (thanks Mic)
We also took care of some business items.
We discussed officer positions, and decided on the following positions with associated duties. At the December meeting we will have our election.
PRESIDENT:
1. Preside over all meetings of the NOBG.
2. Acts as liaison with the Washington Homebrewers Association.
3. Reports all actions of executive officers to the general membership.
4. Calls special meetings as may be required to conduct the business of the NOBG.
VICE PRESIDENT:
1. Assists the President in all matters of business of the NOBG.
2. Assumes the President’s duties and responsibilities of the President’s absence.
3. Administrates all programs and clinics.
SECRETARY:
1. Notify local media of all meetings of the NOBG.
2. Maintain the NOBG website.
3. Maintain roster of membership in the NOBG.
4. Notify all members of all meetings.
Secondly, we discussed hosting of our meeting and expectations. We have a core group of members who can host, and decided potluck would be great for food.
And lastly, the other three items on our agenda were deferred to December.
We will include instructions on all emails from the club that will give the recipient a chance to have their name removed from our club listing. Nicole volunteered to work on a small poster promoting our club for placement around town.
Next meeting will be December 19, 2009 at 6pm at Keith’s house, address is:
231 Madrona Terrace
Sequim,WA

FREE Flip-Top Bottles

I picked up about a hundred of these Grolsch-style bottles from a guy I found on Craigslist, but don't need them all. They'll need to be sanitized and will need new gaskets (I may have some extras for you), but they otherwise work great for sharing some of your tasty brew.
I think there's about 20 of them, but I'm not sure. Come and get 'em!
Cheers,
Brian

Bad news, good news
Hi fellow brewers -
First of all the bad news. I just dumped 10 gallons of my lavender beer down the drain. Carboys were not clean, and killed the beer. Nice layer of scum and mold on the top. YUCK!!!!!! Oh well, we learn more from our failures, than our successes.
And the good news, I order some Goldings rhizomes. I have 6, but only need 3. If anyone wants them, please let me know, and they are yours. Goldings are good for IPA's, or any other bitter beer.
